Vittoria Banks
Vicki Angotti created Vittoria & Banks in 2003 as a creative outlet for an imagination that just never takes a day off. She started making pieces and found that the process was so relaxing that it was like a kind of meditation. As she started to experiment she found that she had found a way to not only make beautiful things but had also found a way to help others. All pieces she creates are one of a kind pieces and can include everything from broken pieces of mirror shards to electrical fuses to pearls and solid silver. She most enjoys doing custom orders & redesigns for people to give them a piece that has meaning, has narrative and brings them joy. Always civic minded, she has supported many organizations and causes with donations of artwork for auctions and fundraisers. She regularly donates a percentage of all sales to organizations that support women, children, animals & veterans. She carries her jewelry in shops in PA & WV such as Pepperberries in Uniontown PA, The Sanctuary in downtown Bridgeport, Artistry on Main in downtown Buckhannon. She is also launching a new line which makes remembrances for people using the ashes, soil or hair/fur of a loved one or pet. The website is called Mourning Glory Art and will include items from many of her artist friends as well. Each piece will be artisan made to honor the memory of those who have passed. Everything from solid silver jewelry to pottery, portraits, and stained glass is featured on the website. Vicki is excited for this new venture as she is doing it with her artist daughter Marina, who was the youngest artist to jury into Tamarack, as a way to help those who have lost a beloved. Whether a pair of earrings to just match that dress or a solid silver rose necklace to keep your grandmother close to your heart, Vicki enjoys the challenge.
