Take This Paint And Shove It! Learn Painting 3 Sessions - All For $90 September 14, 21, 28 6:00 to 8:30 PM
Take This Paint and Shove it Intro to Painting Materials List:
The class will provide guidance in how to paint. While oils will be used in most demonstrations, acrylics can also be used. We will address the difference of using Oils and acrylics. The lessons are applicable to both. Feel free to select whichever medium you are comfortable with or would like to try.
If you currently have paints (oil or acrylic) you can bring them. If you’re new to painting, then get the materials list for the medium you with to use.
**A note about paint quality:
You can start with student grade paints to begin, but some paints are better than others. The cheaper the paint, the less pigment is in it. This means it will take more paint to reach the same result as paint that costs a little more but will give you a more satisfactory result.
Paint at local discount stores is usually not the best quality (off brand names) Each material list will provide recommendations. If you have already purchased paints, then bring those. If you have questions, we can address them in the first class.
Acrylic
Paints: In this class we will need at least these colors: White, Black, Red, Yellow, Blue. For acrylic paints, a good affordable paint is Liquitex Basics.
